The patterns in the sketch were my starting point for this layout.
{All supplies: Daily Stories-Teresa Collins; ribbon from box of cupcakes}
The best way to mix patterns is to choose varying sizes, a large, medium and small print. The polka dot print paper is the large print and while the other 2 patterns are similar in the size, the larger white space on the striped paper reads as a bigger pattern than the gold/tan paper.
I've trimmed 3 photos and matted them together in place of the large photo on the sketch. This is a great way to adapt a one photo sketch for use with multiple photos.
I cut a strip of ribbon and adhered it with my tape gun to the layout. The bow was made using a tool called "The Bow Easy" and then attached to the layout with glue dots.
This layout came together very quickly so I hope you will take on this sketch and share your layouts with us here.
