SOUS Guest Designer July 30

This week we have another wonderful Guest Designer to share with you! Please help us welcome Jill Larocque! She has been a great follower and often contributes her pages to our challenges! Thank you so much Jill for being our Guest this week! And really, how awesome is this photo of hers! The coolest background ever for a photo shoot!

Here is a little about Jill in her own words:

I was introduced to scrapbooking when I was in University and went to my first Creative Memories party! I did layouts here and there but didn’t really keep up until my first son was born and manages to get his first year done. I recently just started scrapbooking much more when I came across the SOUS blog. It renewed my excitement for scrapbooking. My goal is to get one layout done a week and keep up with the boy’s albums so that they will always have something special to remember our family memories. My boys (4 years and 1 year) are what I scrapbook most as I love watching them discover the world. I have just returned to work from mat leave in the NICU and am hoping that I can still keep up with my one layout a week (we’ll see)! I am in a scrapbook store at least once a week as I love to see all the new products and pick out fun, colourful papers to create with. I am completely hooked and thank the fabulous SOUS ladies for allowing me to be a GD this week!

Please visit Jill at her blog to see some more details on this most awesome LO!!!

July16th-Sketch

Hope everyone has enjoyed their week and looked forward to another reveal.
and with that said, we have our weekly reveal again today.
We picked a wonderful sketch this week by Becky Fleck at page maps..
What a wonderful way to get some great layers of paper onto your layout or card.
Do let the sketch inspire you to make it your own this week and we can hardly wait to see what you have created..
Our design team has been busy creating as well.
Lets see what they have made using the same sketch.
and here we go:

So may God bless you, Sandy, in everything you do! You will not only be greatly missed by us girls here but by all of our followers as well!

July 9th-Challenge ~Stars and Stripes~

Happy Friday, all! We hope you've had a great week and have a super weekend on the horizon! Thanks so much for your participation last week. We enjoyed seeing lots of red, white and blue!
Continuing with our patriotic theme of the month, the challenge this week is to use stars and stripes on your layout/card or altered item. (No sketch this week.) Your project doesn't have to be Fourth of July related, we just want to see stars and stripes! So, let's see what you can cook up this time.

Here are our design team examples to get you inspired:

July 2, 2010-Sketch ~ Red-White and Blue ~

Hey, hey, hey! It's the Fourth of July weekend and we have a very special July planned for Stuck on U. Nanne had the great idea that we 'play up" the patriotic theme all month. So, we have some great, great challenges in store for you! We think you will really enjoy them.

This week we have another Pagemaps sketch by Becky Fleck and her staff. It would be great for those special holiday pix you are going to take .. or you can use it any ole way you choose. But the SPECIAL challenge is to incorporate the colors red, white and blue along with your sketch layout. Now, if you think you'd prefer not to do the color challenge, that's okay ... you can still link to Mr Linky if you use the sketch.

Now, some of us are going Fourth of July traditional and a few of us are not but we ARE using our red, white and blue ... so, here you go ... (oh, and be sure to have a safe and fun holiday)

Leah will be late in posting ... if at all .. family emergency ... say a quick prayer for little Cody!

I just wanted to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers during this time. What a wonderful community of support we have here! Love, Leah
