Dec 30 Die Cut Challenge, Snowflakes. lots and lots of snowflakes

Yikes! December 30th, really ??? Just blink your eyes and 2012 will be here!! We here at Stuck on U Sketches want to pause and wish you a wonderful New Year!! The great part about a New Year is that it is in so many ways a fresh start .. whatever that may be in your life right now.  We hope that it is wonderful or that there will blessings to get you through if it is not. Thanks again for being a part of SOUS!!

So, our thoughts turn toward Winter and for those of us in the Northern Hemispshere, that may mean snow!! Some more than others! In honor of the white stuff, our Die Cut Challenge this time is:

SNOWFLAKES!

Remember that your project must be new as of December 30 and you must use your Die Cut machine .. any brand is fine. Hopefully, some of you found a new one under the Christmas tree and this is your chance to get it out of the box and start using it!

We are excited to show you what our Die Cut Team came up with this time around. (And a special thank you to these ladies for contributing during such a busy month!)

Hello, crafters! We are so glad that you stopped by during this busy time of year because we have another great Die Cut challenge for you this week! Time to get those machines a-humming! This time around our Die Cut is food-related .. always a great topic, huh? So, we would like to see Die Cuts showing us

What you are baking for the Holidays?!

Whatever that may mean for you .. fudge, candy. cookies, gingerbread houses,  you name it! This is very open to interpretation! You can do a layout, card, tag or altered item. We simply ask that your project be new and that you use a die cut machine or die cut tool of some kind.

Okay, then! Are you ready for some Design Team inspiration? I know I am! Here we go!

Dec 9 ~ Original Sketch ~ and new DT member!

Happy Friday, everyone! Wow, it's already the second Friday of December! The holidays will be here before we know it! So, let's try and get some scrapping in, shall we? Layouts are always a great gift idea for those hard-to-buy for parents and grandparents!

We are very excited this week to present another original SOUS sketch. This one was done by myself (Sandi) and I was so pleased with the way it turned out. This was actually my very first digitally-designed sketch and 'm happy to report that they have become very addicting. I have already designed 4 more! There will be another one later this month plus, I have March's all done as well! So, enough about that!

This week we are very proud to anounce a new addition to our sketch team. We are sure that many of you already know her! Please welcome our friend and now colleague, Andrea Amu!  Here's a little bio from Andrea herself:

"Hello! My name is Andrea Amu and I am born and raised in Pennsylvania where I live with my fun-loving hubby of 11 years. Scrapbooking has been one of my biggest obsessions since 1997 and now it seems as though I've caught the card making fever too! When I’m not busy being crafty, I can also be found working part-time as a substitute Preschool teacher. I find enjoyment in shopping at craft and antique/junque shops, and collecting Old World stoneware and unique pieces of silver and gemstone jewelry. Currently, I am a designer for Core'dinations Cardstock and I’ve been fortunate to have had my designs published in Memory Makers publications, Northridge Publishing Media’s CARDS, CREATE, Simply Handmade and Cricut magazines, Paper Crafts, Pinecone Press, and Blue Media and Quarry books. I am really glad to now be a part of the Stuck On U Sketches Design Team and I look forward to much inspiration along the way."

Here is Andrea's take on our sketch:

Welcome, Andrea! Now, let's see some what the DT did with the sketch this time, shall we?

Dec 2nd Die Cut challenge "O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree"

Wow, December .. already?!! This year has flown by!
Here at Stuck on U Sketches' Die Cut Challenge we want to usher in this fabulous
season with a holiday-related "cut."  For this challenge, we would like to see some die cut
 Christmas trees!
Your tree can be done on a card, layout or altered item ..any format really.
Our original thought was of the evergreen decorated variety. But if it is an outdoorsy tree
covered with snow, that is okay too. Let your imagination be your guide. We do ask
that your projects be New as of 12-02-2011 and that you use a die or die cutter.
Remember the idea of these challenge is to use our machines more.

So, are you ready for some design team inspiration? Here we go:

you will have some crafting time allotted. Remember that you will have 2 weeks to upload
your projects. We can't wait to see your Christmas trees!!
