May 28th blog candy from GC

This week's sketch is really aweseome. It was created by Beggahuna whose work can be found in various places such as Swirlydoos, Scrapbook.com and on her blog Beggahuna's sketch blog. We hope you will visit her for some wonderful inspiration. Our sketch this week has lots of "white" space .. which makes a few of us shiver ... this author likes to fill every nook and cranny. Speaking of nooks, that brings us to this month's blog candy ....

Our yummy blog candy is donated by Generations Crafting and includes a collection of Basic Grey Nook and Pantry papers and rub-ons and a wonderful 7 Gypsies chipboard album. Hmmm, cookbook in the making? All you have to do to qualify to win is to leave a comment. The winner will be chosen next Thursday night and posted on next week's blog post.

Okay, time to see what our design team has done with Begahuna's sketch:

Welcome Beatriz

This week we would like to welcome Beatriz Guzman as our very special Guest Designer. We have enjoyed Bea's work both on the Cricut mb and through blogging. If you have not had a chance to visit her blog Amazing Grace we hope this will open yet another door of creativity and inspiration to each of you. If you have admired Bea's work we know that you will enjoy the wonderful Layout "Time" she has created for us this week!

Here are some words from Bea.....

"Paper Crafting has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I have always been drawn to all paper crafts. As a child I used to hoard all of my crafty things, but through scrap booking I have found a way to have my cake and eat it too!!! This passion, along with my God-given creativity and enthusiasm pushes me to learn new techniques and apply them to my work. I truly love what I do and my goal is to inspire others through my work. My style has been described as 'bold', 'fun' and 'detailed'. I love making two-page layouts and I enjoy using a variety of techniques including sewing, stamping, inking, and using die-cut machines as I create scrapbook pages, cards, mini albums and altered items."

May 21st ~ GD

Yay, Friday is here again! We are excited about this week's sketch.  It is one created by Stepahanie Vaughn at Scrap Sketch.  It's a great, fun sketch and you will see that it can lend itself to many themes. Scrap Sketch had some website errors a few months back and lost many of their sketches but we had this one stored and are so glad to use it!  We hope you can join us this week. On behalf of the whole team, thanks for all the inspiration and encouragement you bring us!

So, here we go with this week's layouts!  (Part of our design team may be posting s little late. May is a somewhat busy month .. as you know.)

May 14th ~~ no sketch ~~ Button challenge

Hap-py Fri-day, everybody! We have a fun little challenge for you this week. The second week of the month we have dedicated to being "No sketch/different challenge" week. So, this week we are challenging you to use buttons on your layouts! Be it simple or complex, an accent or a statement, store-bought or homemade, we want to see your buttons! This author recently saw several layouts done by a paper artist who used cards of buttons on her pages .. and she made it work, very well in fact! May is an especially busy month, so hopefully this simpler challenge will help you get at least one page done!

Here's what we did this time! (Just an fyi that Leah will be posting a little later today.)

Happy Anniversary

May 7th and our Guest Designers will be...

Yay, it's Friday once a again and the weekend is on the horizon! We hope everyone has a great weekend planned ... and that you have had someone special in your life to call "Mom." Or that hopefully, you have some really great memories! We're thinking this weekend may be another great photo opportunity .. and more pix to scrap!

We have another great sketch this week by sketch artist Liz Qualman. To see more of Liz's work, please visit her at  Liz Qualman .  You may recall that we have done quite a few of her sketches and that she even designed one exclusively for Stuck on U Sketches earlier this year! We thought this one looked kind of "girly" in honor of Mother's Day. But without the flowers and bow, it would work with anything! Hope you have time to join us this week!

Now, let's see what our designers have done:
