Thank You

Hello and welcome! I'm Vivian and this is my last die cut challenge with SOUS since the founders are moving on to bigger and better things. StuckonUSketches has been a grand adventure for me as I love to make die cuts.

I want to thank Nanne and Leah for having me on the die cut team on and off for the last two years. In a way, my last project is dedicated to those two lovely ladies. Thank you for the opportunity!

I rummaged around the Silhouette online store for inspiration for the theme "wings". Then it hit me!! Butterflies!!  This easel card is by Lori Whitlock and sold thru the Silhouette online store.

Thanks for stopping by today. I would love for you to stop by my blog as I have many more future projects to share with you.

4th of July Treat Containers

Hi everyone!!
I'm here to share a project I've created as a guest designer for Stuck On U Sketches and this is perfect for our current July 4th/Canada Day linky party.

I've made a couple of treat containers for July 4th. These were real simple to put together, as I have the clear tubes in the Craftin Desert Divas shop. I've made the tags from the Tag Essentials Dies

My papers are from Doodlebugs Patriotic Picnic paper pad and the enamel star is from the Red, White and Blue Star Sprinkles. I love Doodlebugs so much I'm now carrying both in my shop.

To complete both tags I've added the stitched star which is from the Banner Dies and stamped a sentiment from Happy Celebrations and they were complete.

Hope you have a wonderful day.

Thinking of You

Hello.......Its Tracey here with you today.
Any thing with "Wings" is the challenge.

I'm really loving the Pop up feature on Artfully Sent cricut cartridge.
'Thinking of You' and the scallop card base are on the cartridge too.

I use a glue pen to outline the butterfly then sprinkled it with gold glitter.
I'm a bit lazy when it comes to decorating the inside of cards.....I usually just stamp a sentiment and image. I think I'll be lots more of these!

I'm a little sad as this is my last project for the Die Cut Team.
I would like to thank Nanne and Leah for having me.......its been an absolute pleasure working with you lovely ladies and all the other designers. A highlight for me was meeting Leah and her family last year when I was on holidays.
I look forward to catching up with you in Blogland
Take Care x

Sprinkled, and a huge thanks to you all...

LAST post for Stuck on U Sketches

My dear friends, I can not believe this huge part of my life is now coming to an end! Nanne, my best crafty friend and co-leader have run SOUS for almost 6 years! Helping lead and organize so many talented and amazing ladies. Not to mention choosing many challenges and creating original sketches. Honestly, I think my skills really took off after starting with SOUS. I have much to be grateful for! And most importantly, the friendships I've made! Including meeting fellow team mate Tracey, when she visited me in California from Australia! And of course, meeting my Finnish buddy, Nanne! Who knew I'd have a best friend across the world! Amazing!

So our last, very last challenge to share with you all...one to help us take off from where we've been...Die Cut Challenge, WINGS. Birds, butterflies, airplanes, fairies, bugs...you get the idea.

I mixed my Silhouette die cut birdie with the frames and sentiment metal dies by Papertrey Ink. The add some dimension to the card, I cut the frames and sentiments many times and adhered them together. Adding a line of Glossy Accents covered in glitter to the border helps add another detail but also pull in the stamped, embossed and glittered sun. This was my first experience using an embossing powder that turns sticky once heated. It was SO cool and for sure the easiest thing I have done to use loose powder.

Thanks again my friends and our SOUS followers...for making us one of the original challenge sites and a go-to place for lots of project inspiration! Blessings to you all!

Die Cut Challenge - If It Has Wings

Hi and welcome to Stuck On U Sketches. This is Julie here from Cards By Cricut with my last project for the Die Cut Challenge - If It Has Wings. I am really going to miss SOUS. Thank you Nanne and Leah for the most wonderful time I have had over the last year and a half. I can't believe it is over. It has been so fun creating all these projects with all these girls.
I decided to do a large tag for this challenge as I knew I wanted to do a dragonfly. It was the first thing I thought of when I repeated the title of the challenge in my mind. I found this really cute dragonfly from the Cricut cartridge Best of 2006. This cartridge has images from several cartridges brought out through the year.
I also decided to emboss the wings to give it a little more texture. I wanted to give it a lot of 3D feel so I used some pop dots on the dragonfly and also with the flowers on the tag. I just used some fake flowers I got at the Dollar store. They always have
some great finds. I just found 3 packages of 6 different colors of sequins there that are a huge trend right now.
Next, I put the flowers on the tag with some old yellow flower eyelets I found. They look like the center of the flowers. I then put stickles on the dragonfly to make it sparkle. I think it came out really cute and thought this would make a great tag for a present to someone or use it as a stand alone and place a gift card on the back.
Well, that is it. My last blog post for Stuck On U Sketches. I really hope you have enjoyed all the projects that have presented here by a very talented design team. Come back often when the need for inspiration is required. Thanks for taking the time to look at my post and have a great weekend! :)

Back to School

Charlotte here with you today to share a layout using the June 19th sketch. The school year here is almost over and I"m just getting around to scrapping the start of last year! :)  I didn't have any school themed papers, so I just used what I had. I thought the bright colors and patterns really fit Renee's personality and even though not technically school related, were perfect for her!

This post is also a sad one for me as it's the last one I'll be doing for SOUS! I have been on this team for a very long time and it has become home for me. I would like to thank Nanne and Leah for inviting me to be a part of their design team and for their support and friendship through the years. I will definitely miss this site. I would like to thank all of you, our faithful supporters who have been here  participating in the challenges and sharing your work. Without you, it would not have been so fun. I would also like to thank all my fellow designers for sharing their inspiration and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. This is bye for now and I will see you around blogland! :)

Building a blue river

Good morning, friends from around the world. Today it's up to me, Eli, show a new interpretation of the sketch of Nanné.

I chose a simple and cheerful style for some photos of my daughter on the final day of the school of art in which he had to work with the color blue to create a "river". To recall the theme, I spattered blue paint on the background and also on the papers.
To end I used different embellishments, mixed a little at random, just because I liked the combination.
Good scrappy summer to you all.
