You Are Such A Blessing To Me - January 30th Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone, Caroleanne  here with you today to reveal my latest layout here at Stuck on U Sketches.

This is a fabulous sketch by our lovely Leah, I hope you have a go.
Below is a simple step by step, also a colour wheel link to help  you with putting colours together.

You may think that my colour choice for this layout is a little strange, but I wanted to use burgundy from Jessies jacket. I always like to use the photo for my colour inspiration. I also wanted to use blue to hi-lite Jessies blue eyes. Plus, I wanted to use a colour to make the page pop a little. So, I took out my colour wheel and decided upon a Triadic colour scheme. This is where three colours sit an equal distance from each other on the wheel. I checked blue and burgundy and found that yellow was the perfect fit.

HERES HOW
Matt photo, (I used a spellbinders rectangle) on blue cardstock
Cut out an 11 inch square from cardstock (burgundy)

January 30 Sketch Reveal

Hi my friends! It's Leah here sharing today, our newest sketch and my layout!
I have to say this layout is a rare one. It's bold and fun which I would say is part of "my style" but the "rare" part...there's not a single die cut thing to be found! Yes! Shocking, I know! Even though I rarely scrap this way, it's a nice break each time I do. Plus it's fun to really get the chance to go through my stash and shop what I have. Often in my more designed pages, there isn't total room to go nuts with embellishing. This was a different story though and I got lots of goodies added in!

Before I go much further. The base of my page DID make this sketch! It did! But at the end, I wanted even more small pops of color and then added some small scraps of papers (that look like more layering). So the green and yellow paper that looks like added layers in the background were the smallest of scraps!

Let me also share our Top 3 from the January 9th
Die Cut Challenge- Snow!
Loved each and every project so thank you all for having shared with us!

Friendship Warms the Heart

Hello! I'm Vivian and today I'm sharing with you my version of the die cut challenge "warm & cozy".

I'm the first to admit that I sometimes take challenges a bit too literally. It can be hard to think outside the box. I have been with SOUS a while and have done this challenge before. Last time I put die cut scarves, mittens and hats on a layout.

This time . . . well . . . I did something else.

For all those girly-girls out there, this one is for you!

Enjoy and thanks for stopping by today!!

Supplies and further details can be found at my blog.

Die Cut Challenge - Warm Wishes

Hi it's Helen here. It's my turn to share a project for Die Cut Challenge this week. When I read the theme, Warm & Cozy, the first thing came in my mind was mittens.

Last week, this pair of mittens was a free cutting file from Silhouette Design Store. The card base I used Lori Whitlock's pennant card base.

I used 3D foam tape to give a dimensional looking to the mittens. Over my blog I have the detail how I make this card using Silhouette Cameo.

You still have time until Thursday, February 5th midnight to link up your project for this Die Cut Challenge. Remember, use any die cut that show your interpretation of the theme, Warm & Cozy. LINK UP HERE. Can't wait to see your projects :)

Have a fun crafty day!

Get Well Soon

Hey Everyone,
Its Tracey here to show you what I have created for the "Warm and Cosy" die cut challenge. I must say this challenge took some thought!
When I'm not feeling well my favorite place to be is in bed......all snuggled up "Warm and Cosy"
So, with that idea, here's my Super Cas Card, with a cute image of a puppy in bed with a thermometer in his mouth.
Do you remember "Paper Pups" cricut cartrige? I used it to cut the image and 'Sick as a Dog' sentiment. The black frame was cut with George.

The inside.....

Have fun with the challenge!

Warm and Cozy layout-DC reveal

Hi everyone..
It's Nanné here to share my layout that I created as my design team project for our "Warm and Cozy" die cut challenge..

Here's what I created:
I found these digital papers by Cartabella and thought they were perfect for this challenge..
I printed the papers for the background and then for the die cuts, I flooded the die cuts with the prints in the SIL software, then did the print and cut with my Silhouette Cameo..

How about a few close ups and some details:
The photo is a bit dark, but its of  my hubby and our beagle dog, Bemsky. Our dog is such a hugger, as soon as you sit down on the couch, he's all over you :)

I actually created these book die cuts myself in the SIL software..

I also added some big brown snowflakes (to match my color scheme), the window in the background to make look like you were warm and cozy inside :)

because its a masculine layout, I decided to add some stars and a few hearts, plus snow flakes cause the photo was taken last week while we were having a snow storm :)

and there you have my warm and cozy layout for this weeks die cut challenge reveal..
Thank you for stopping by today and do join in on the fun with us girls..
Just look for the die cut link on the side bar where you will be re-directed to the main post and link up your project..

Till next time fellow scrappers..
hugs
Nanné

SOUS Die Cut Challenge - Warm and Cozy

Hi and welcome to Stuck On U Sketches. This is Julie from Cards by Cricut with my project for the Design Team Die Cut challenge - Warm and Cozy. This challenge gave me a little struggle at first because I was unsure how I was going to describe warm and cozy in a die cut. And this Winter has been pretty chilly here. With temps never getting out of the 30's, that can be cold. Then I thought about what makes me all warm and cozy and I came up with a
nice hot coffee or cocoa warming up your hands. So I came up with this cute card. I used the Cricut Lite cartridge Love A Latte. I cut the cafe cup at 4-1/2". Cutting it out on my Explore made it so easy to do plus it cut it so perfectly. I then put the card together. There is a detailed list on my blog.
So get your supplies together and make your own warm and cozy project and do what I did if you can't think of anything. Ask yourself, "What makes you all warm and cozy?" Then get your project together. And don't forget to try for our top 3 competition. Thanks so much for coming to our blog and we all hope you have a great weekend.

January 23 Die Cut Challenge Reveal, Warm and Cozy

  Welcome to another Friday challenge!
Today is our Die Cutting day and we have something just right
for the season...

...Warm And Cozy...

You can think winter if you'd like, like I've done with my project
but you can also think of doing projects with snuggling up
a new baby. Scrapping a page with a loved one. Anything that
gives you the warm fuzzies will be great to share with us!
I've had these snuggly critters in the Silhouette collection forever and always looked at them but finally just now used them! I had fun coloring all of my die cut pieces (other then the multiple background layers) with my Spectrum Noir markers and then adding some white gel pen for texture.

With the sun hiding in the mornings it's hard to see the glitter details added around the project. Just a bit and some more white gel pen doodling. To make my background pop a bit more I added 4 layers, but very worth it! As a side note as well, you can click on the photos to enlarge them and see the details I added with the pens to my critters.

Thanks for visiting us today and looking forward to seeing your creations!

Happy Santa

Hey y'all! It's Stephanie here today from Bits & Pieces (& Scraps) and I am sharing my layout using the January 16 sketch. This amazingly fun sketch by Leah was so great to work with!! I loved the Snow Village collection from Pink Paislee the moment I laid eyes on it! And I fortunately had some left over to create with!!

I cut a rectangle out of the polka dot paper then laid the script paper horizontally over it. The trees on the right were cut from a piece of patterned paper from pink Paislee.

Everything is from Pink Paislee with the exception of the cork word; the sequins; the pennant tag & the "Santa" tab. I used my Fiskars punch to create the glittery snowflakes.
Yes, this photo is from 2006, but I just found it the other day while cleaning out a drawer! So glad I did too. I love looking back at the kids when they were little bitties!
I hope you all find the time to create with this awesome sketch. Link up with us in the sidebar if you do!

Thanks for visiting!
