Guest Designer August 20

We are pleased to have Fern Riley as our Guest Designer for August! She is such a talented paper crafting artist! We could not be anymore thrilled with her take on this weeks sketch and love how she found the color inspiration from the darling photo! Very smart and it looks so professional too! My bio!

Hi everyone, my name is Fern Riley and I am so excited to be the Guest Designer for August here at Stuck On U Sketches (SOUS). Which by the way was one of my first scrap booking blogs I found when I started scrap booking and is still one of my favorite ones to check out...

I started paper crafting 5 years ago, but at that time I was doing cards and just an occasional layout. Well, you can make and send out so many cards and then what do you do with the rest... My husband was the one who actually suggested that I try scrap booking, which I can guarantee you he's regretting it now!! lol So anyway, I took his advice, and after finding numerous online scrapbook sites and looking at every scrap book magazine I could get my hands on, I decided to try it and you can say the rest is history. With 3 grand babies and photo albums full of family photos, I could do this forever and not get caught up, and that's exactly what I plan on doing.. I have become addicted/obsessed with this fun and wonderful hobby and the challenges out there are fantastic.. I know everyone develops their own style, but by doing the challenges your layouts don't all end up looking the same... lol Hey, and sometimes it's even fun creating outside the box... Thanks again ladies for letting me play along with you this month!!! Hugs! Fern

We wanted to thank you for your feedback on us going to 2 week challenges. We appreciate hearing from you on that and your continued support! Be sure to scroll down to get to the current challenge!

Now the super exciting news is that we are looking to grow our Design Team!

We are very excited about this and are looking forward to having more projects to share with everyone and having even more inspiration for you all when you come by!

We are looking for 4 semi-permanent designers willing to commit to a 6 month term.

We will run this opening until September 3rd
and the new Design Team will post their first projects here on September 17th!

Here is what we are looking for:

~People who have the time and want to inspire others!

~Those that want to share their paper crafting passion with others!

~We would like for you to have a blog so that others can have a place to go and see more details on your work!

~People who go the extra mile and put their all into their projects!

August 6th An original sketch and some news to share!

Its August! Already! Wow! This Summer is flying by and I guess almost over for some of us with school starting in just weeks! We hope that everyone has had a least a little Summer fun...even with the heat that most of the country has had!

As soon as I started here at Stuck on U, I have really wanted to try my hand at designing sketches. I downloaded a free office program and have played a bit (if any of you know another program, please let me know because the one I am working with is not the best and I can not put graphics into it). But anyways, we thought it would be fun to share something original with you all...We really hope you like!

Now our news to share....Nanne, Sandi C and I have decided that we are going to move to doing 2 week challenges (every other week) instead of weekly ones. There were lots of reason's really but we thought it would be great to give us and our followers a bit more time, to do our challenges and the other challenges that are out there!

We will post on occasion some extra goodies to share but will from today's post go to every other week. So please come back often!

We really hope that this will encourage more of you to join us in our challenges now that time will be on your side! =o)

We know you are going to be totally bummed out but Nanne isn't here this week! She is vacationing in the states so she won't be able to join us but will be back next time! I just wish I was closer to Florida so I could meet up with her!
