August 26, 2011 Die Cut Challenge "Sky"

Good Friday to you all!
We are excited to share only our second new Die Cut Challenge with you today!
We hope that you enjoyed the first challenge and the DT projects..we have more to share today!
So even if the kids are back to school and Summer
might feel like its ended..it hasn't yet! And a big part of Summer are those beautiful blue skies.
So that leads us to our second challenge...

Die Cut Challenge:

"Sky"

Can't you just feel the Summer fun!
This challenge is super open. Build a sky scene, use a birdie, balloon, airplane.
Play around with clouds or rocket ships. Anything that will remind us of the great blue above!

August 19, 2011 Original Sketch

Another Friday has found its way to us and we couldn't be happier!
Hopefully Summer has been well for you all and you've all had the chance
to have some fun and get some scrappy time in!

As we've said before we are hoping to bring you more original sketches
and I've created this one with Summer travel in mind.
Of course there are many, many shapes that could take the place and
of course you will see many variations that our DT has done.

When designing sketches you often make things that you are personally
drawn to but we also wanted to ask you...
What kind of sketches do you like?
What would you like to see us use?
Multiple photos, more double pages?

August 12, 2011 Die Cut Challenge "Play"


Today is such an exciting day for Stuck on U Sketches!
You may or may not know that the leaders here had all met and became friends
over at the Cricut MB. So much of what is posted here will often have
many Cricut die cuts on it. That got us thinking and so lead to the new challenges
we'll be posting here! Here is some more rules to play..first these are die cut
challenges. You can use store bought die cuts, but we are mostly looking at
getting the most from our electronic cutters. So many of us will be using Cricut
cuts, we are still more then open to using any other machine out there!
Let's just use what we got! LOL! A challenge itself! =)
We wanted to keep these challenges light and fun and really more about using
our machines then working on using a particular cartridge.
If you have any suggestions for these challenges just leave them in the comment
section below. We'd love to have hear your ideas!
We also want to open these challenges open to any papercrafting project!
Cards, layouts, altered items, mini's, tags, sewing, etc.

And what is our first ever Die Cut Challenge....

"Play"

Interpret this anyway you'd like! You can use the word, the theme, a toy or activity or
anything else you can come up with!

August 5, 2011 Original Sketch


Well friends..stick with us today. This may be the longest post ever!LOL!
We have some HUGE news to share today!
(and you'll have to wait til the end to find out the winner for last week's blog hop candy!)
Nanne, Sandi and myself have been thinking about this for awhile and are
excited to be making the announcement...

We'll be adding new challenges to Stuck on U Sketches!
We will still continue to bring you sketches every other week and hopefully keep
bringing you original sketches as well. We will no longer be doing tutorials but instead
we will be adding Die Cut Challenges!
We are very, very excited about these changes and hope that you will be too!

Today we'd like to share our new sketch challenge and our DT projects but also
introduce you to our new Die Cut DT. You'll see some familiar faces from sketches
but also some new and fresh talent...

My name is Faith Abigail and I have been very happily married to my husband, George, for five years. I work as a freelance makeup artist and I'm an accomplished photographer; I enjoy dance, theatre, history and reading. I have always been involved in the Fine Arts and I come from a very crafty family; I began paper crafting last year and quickly discovered a passion for it.

Hi! My name is Rechelle Pace. I am a full-time wife, mother, computer software/web/blog/iPhone application developer, and scrapper.
I live with my family in North Texas. I’m married to my wonderful husband and best friend, Bobby. We met 20 years ago in college and we have been happily married for almost 16 years! We have a smart and handsome 15 year old son, Justin, who keeps us very busy with high school football practice and games! This fall he will be a sophomore and a quarterback for the JV football team.
Included in our family is Lucy, a Poodle/Chihuahua mix. Somehow, that mixture makes Lucy look exactly like Toto in the Wizard of Oz!
I have been a computer software/web/blog/iPhone application developer for 16 years but when I am not doing that or doing something football related, I’m scrapping!
I started scrapbooking shortly before my son was born. I enjoy card making and other paper crafts but scrapbooking is definitely my passion, obsession, and addiction! If you ever see my scrapbook room, you will know it is true! When I bought my first Cricut, my passion, obsession, and addiction for scrapbooking intensified! I love the versatility it gives me for creating and embellishing my scrapbook pages and other paper crafts!
I am so excited to be a part of the Stuck on U Sketches Die Cut Design Team. I am honored to have the opportunity to create alongside such a talented group of ladies! I hope to inspire everyone around me to create beautiful and fun projects of their own and to be inspired by you!

My name is Tammy Edwards, and I live in North Carolina with my husband of almost 33 years and our beagle, Lexi.  We have two grown daughters, who are both married to wonderful guys, a granddaughter, and a grandson, that we love to spoil.  When our oldest daughter announced her first pregnancy, I decided to make a scrapbook for the baby.  I have been hooked ever since.  I use lots of Cricut die cuts on my creations.  After seeing a Cricut demonstrated in August of 2006, I purchased one that same day. I don't know how I'd scrapbook without it! While I love doing both layouts and cards, I find that I make many more cards now than scrapbook pages, mostly because there is always an occasion that needs a card.  It is sort of like a ministry to me.  I hope that my cards are an encouragement to others.  And, by having a blog and being on this awesome design team, I hope my creations are an inspiration to others!

Hi, my name is Theresa Kelly. I live in Kentucky now, moved here from Las Vegas, but grew up in California, I know, what a culture shock! I live out in the Country, I’m married to my Best Friend and I have 3 children, 30, 27, and 10 (he keeps me on my toes, lol) I also have 3 grandkids, 7, 5, and 2, they are still in Las Vegas so I still get to visit. I started scrappin when my youngest was born and haven’t looked back. I love to paint, sew, garden and will try any kind of craft and add it to my projects whenever I can. I love my Cricut and use it at least a couple of times week and have a really hard time scrapping with out it, LOL!. I love to go to auctions, antique stores, flea markets and can’t drive by a yard sale without stopping and I usually find a treasure to alter and turn into something new. I am so excited to be on the Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Team and looking forward to working with the all the wonderful gals and hopefully I can inspire you to grab your Die Cut Machine and Make a Memory!
