September 30th sketch

Whew! Another Friday with a fabulous weekend on the horizon! Can't wait for some awesome family time and a bit of scrappy time as well. It is always a delight to bring you a sketch from the mulit-talented Liz Qualman whose work is so frequently on the cover of such magazines as Scrapbooking and Beyond. Sept 23 Die cut challenge "Heart"

Happy Friday, scrappers! And welcome to another Die Cut challenge here at Stuck on U. So ... have you been wondering what the Cut will be this week? Well, we are in LOVE with this one and think you will be too! HEARTS! Yes, we want to see hearts and yes, we realize this is not February BUT .. we (well, I) thought it would be something very verstile and that lots of peole could use in one way or another. Hmm, probably being TOO easy on you this week! So, let's see what you can do that is creative and different! And if not that, then any old HEART will do. We just ask that this be a NEW project as of 9/23/2011.

In the way of anouncements, we did want to let you know that Fern Riley will be stepping down from the team at the end of this month to spend more time with her family. She has been with us well over a year and we thank her for her enormous contribution to this team. Fern, we'll miss you .. but we know where you live. Put the coffe on! LOL

Sept 9th ~ Die cut challenge "Flower"

Welcome back to another Friday here at Stuck on U! We hope that you have had a good week and hopefully got some crafting done, too! Speaking of crafting ...

This week we are hosting our Die Cut challenge and the theme is FLOWER. How easy is that? Now remember, you can use any die cutter or die cut on any type of project, layout, card, tag, or altered project. Our only requirement is that it must be NEW as of 9/09/2011 and must be using a "flower" as the theme/die cut.

And don't forget that we have some great blog candy this month from the Flying Unicorn Store. We'll be selecting our winner at the end of the month, so play often for more chances to win! There's a photo on the right hand sidebar. Who wouldn't love to win that?

Sept 2 Original sketch

Wow! September?!! Are you kidding me?!! This has been the fastest summer ever. The days just seem to slip by so quickly. But even so, we have a new month and a fresh start! It's Labor Day weekend here in the U.S. and "back to school" time. So, some of you may have a long weekend and we hope to give you some scrappy inspiration!

As you know, Nanne, Leah and I have been wanting to provide you with some original SOUS sketches and this is my first one! I sort if did it on the fly one morning but was delighted that it actually made for a great page! Since then I have learned how to do some digital scrapbooking solely for the purpose of designing sketches. My next two will appear in December. Can't wait to share those! The three of us are really excited to be designing our own sketches and we continue to want to hear your feedback about how you like them and exactly what you are looking for in a sketch. We DO have several upcoming sketches with multiple photos, so hang in there ! And we also heard you want some double pages, so we are working on those as well.

Before we share what the design team has done this week, we wanted to show you this month's blog candy generously donated by Alda Stevens at Flying Unicorn Store. We will be selecting a winner from all the participants in this month's challenges. The more you play, the more chances you have to win. But your projects must be NEW as of the date of the challenge to be entered in the drawing.
