Car Lover

Hi SOUS friend! It's Stephanie here today from Bits & Pieces (& Scraps) to share my layout using the April 24th sketch created by Nanne. How awesome is this sketch?!

I love the versatility here &  the room for multiple photos!
Here is what I created:

I dug deep into my stash for this one! I knew I had some die cut patterned paper in my bin from ages ago (think 2009) that would be great for this page! The paper is from My Mind's Eye and I have been hoarding it for YEARS! The picture is also an older one, from 2010, of my son checking out a dragster at a local pumpkin patch. He was all about cars, & all vehicles for that matter, when he was little!

The corrugated alphas are from American Crafts, the "slow down" acetate shape is from Studio Calico & the 50c die cut is from MME.

All of the small label stickers are fro Jenni Bowlin (also year old) & the "good times" sticker is from Basic Grey.

We would love it if you played along with us! You can link up here here if you do. We love to see your creations!
Thanks for visiting & stay crafty, y'all!

I Think You're Amazing!

Hey everyone! It's Charlotte from Scrapsational back again with you today to share a layout I did using Nanne's second sketch for April! It was a really fun sketch with 4 photos in it. So perfect if you have tons of photos and you can't pick just one from an event! I replaced one of the photos with a tag embellished with some stickers. I used an older collection of Echo Park papers. It's the This and That line. I love when I can use up some stash.

I'm so happy that it's Spring and the snow has disappeared. It was a perfect day for a walk down by the lake. More and more geese are arriving by the day and they're so fun to watch. Noah just loves going down there to see what's going on and of course toss a few pebbles into the water.

Make sure to link up your layouts over on the side bar! We'd love to see what you've done!

Tigelle &

Hello, friends. It's Eli from Italy to show you two things in one: first, of course, a new page with the beautiful sketch created by Nanné (HERE the link to add your page);

Second, a typical Italian recipe: the "Tigelle". You HAVE to try them!
What are tigelle? They are a kind of flat bread, which must be eaten hot, freshly prepared or heated in the oven, in combination with salami, cheeses, souces, honey, chocolate cream or jam or whatever your imagination suggests. You can also find ready-made, but you can prepare them at home. So I leave you some links with the recipe and then let me know if you liked them.

A Wooden Letter Word from Kaiser
for the title - keeping things easy!

A couple of silver trinkets from my
 found box (found that...LOL!)

Beautiful flowers from
 Prima
 "Painterly Petals Hydrangeas Orange"
and
 "Exotic Gardenia South Pacific"

Photo's to be added at a later date - when I find them!!

Ride

Hello!

It's Rosie here to share my version of the latest sketch challenge :).

{patterned paper, stickers-That's My Boy Echo Park, alphas-Echo Park & Heidi Swapp, large flourish-Kaisercraft die, twine-???, pearls-Want2Scrap}

To create the large circles out of twine I used a circle die cut paper and "traced" along the edge with liquid glue.

This large flourish is a decorative die by Kaisercraft, I used it in place of the tree die cut in the sketch.
I love all the layering possibilities this sketch provides and using papers from the same collection ensures the colours and patterns work well together.

Link up your take on the sketch by clicking on the "current sketch" in the sidebar and come back tomorrow to see Jane's take on the sketch!

SOUS Die Cut Challenge: You're My Type

Hi Helen is here today sharing my project that made for SOUS Die Cut Challenge this week. The theme is Industrial. You are challenge to create any projects that has die cuts such as: typewriter, gear, telephone, lamp, light, etc.

I created a card with typewriter die cut from ... Using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut a piece of White Daisy cardstock and added on the card using glue pen.

And I stamped the sentiment from Happy Everything set on a piece of velum, heat-embossed it eith white embossing powder. I used Tombow Velum glue runner to glue the velum on the card. And I finished it with 2 chevron wood veneer.

I hope to see your projects, too. You can link up using the Mister Linky HERE.

Thanks for visitng today!

Fun is Ahead!

Hi there, it's Tracey here to show you what I have created for the industrial die cut challenge.
I love this type writer from suburbia cricut cartridge........using a typewriter font I printed out the details about my photos.  Celebrations cartridge was used to  cut the balloons out of watercolor paper, I then sprayed them with color shine. These photos were taken a year ago, how time flies! On Sunday we will be celebrating Tori's 19th birthday.

hope you can join us for this fun challenge.......happy creating!

Shabby Chico Cuckoo Clock

Leah Schaeffer here today to share a die cut project
to go along with our challenge that was shared this last Friday by Nanne.
Industrial
This isn't exactly industrial but I took in the inspiration from googling the word
and seeing all the cool clocks that came up. I knew I wanted to do something
different then going with using gears and this is what I came up with!
I think this is the first time that I really successfully created something shabby chic.
Let me keep it simple today since there's a million pictures to see!

And in case you are interested in this die cut, you can find it in the Silhouette store here
Thanks for coming by today!

Die Cut Challenge - Industrial

Hello everyone! Welcome to Stuck On U Sketches. This is Julie here from Cards By Cricut. I have a project I made for this weeks Die Cut Challenge - Industrial. When you think of Industrial what do you think of? My first thought was of gears and clocks. Nanne gave you some great ideas on yesterday's blog post, so check here. I decided to do my project with gears and clock hands. I even found a sentiment with gears in it. I wanted a great contrasting color so you would be able to read the sentiment on top of the gears.

The card itself is cut at 6"x6". I cut the first layer from Cricut Design Studio at 5-3/4"x5-3/4". I cut the sentiment at 5.67"x 3". I then cut the clock hands at 3/4"x 2" and 3/4"x 4". I kept this card pretty simple so that you are able to see the individual gears. The remaining details can be found on my blog Cards By Cricut. Well, thank you so very much for coming to SOUS today and taking a look at our blog. I hope you come back each day as there is always something new to see. Have a great day!

Die Cut challenge: Industrial

It's another Die Cut Friday here at SOUS..
For this weeks challenge, we themed it.. INDUSTRIAL.. Fancy word, but don't let it scare you :)

*We want to see your projects that have one or all of the following:

Typewriter, gears, camera, lamp/light fixture, sewing machine.

You can make it vintage or keep it whimsical like I did..
Here is what I created for today's challenge reveal:

Fun and playful layout using a photo of my two little monkeys when they were small..
My boys are 21 and 20, so looking at this photo, it's hard to believe they were this small :)

How about a few close ups:
I created this fun phrase using some free fonts and my Silhouette software..

My boys in their jammy's..

The camera I used, I like this one cause of all the fun colors I was able to use with it,plus I added a bunch of photo related sayings all over the layout.. and because its a boy layout, I couldn't forget about adding stars and gears :)

Now, how about our TOP3 from the March 27th Sketch challenge..
we had lots of submits and it was hard to pic favorites..
