Valley of the Temples

Good morning friends: it's Eli from Scrap-colors. Today I show you the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I have no other words to define it. Warm colors, steeped in magic, absolute silence. It seems to go back in time.
We could not but make us a photo together in a place so!
And here we are, we three women of the family, in one of the rare photos all together. A little untrimmed for hot but happy.
The sketch is that by Leah, you can find HERE. I liked very much and I wanted to use a different style but this image came to my hand and then I decided for the classic.

I worked the background with a stamp Florilèges, repeated along the length. The same brand the other stamps (written and tickets). The papers instead are by Carta Bella to which I added some old scraps.

I also reused the circles forward by edge processing to which I added sequins and drops Glimmer Glaze.

Finally, just some wood embellishments that were fine.

Every Summer...

Hello and thanks for joining me, Rosie, for the latest sketch reveal. There is sooo much inspiration in this fabulous sketch!

{Patterned paper, die cut pages, overlay, brads, chipboard, stickers-Simple Stories "Good Day Sunshine"; paper clip Simple Stories "I Am"; ledger paper-unknown; grey print-Studio Calico Basics; card stock-Bazzill}

I loved the lined paper in the sketch and found this ledger pattern in my stash, I placed it on a piece of Bazzill dotted card stock. It was great to pull out a punch I haven't used in awhile, that's the EK Success notebook edge punch. The die cut page I used for the layout title is one of the SN@P die cut pages in the Good Day Sunshine collection along with the woodgrain pattern.
This 'holepunched' paper is also a die cut page from the same collection. You have a good look at the overlay I used with the hexagons layered over the woodgrain page.
I handcut a tag to hold my journaling and finished it off with a brad. The also punched the edge on the tag which creates a visual triangle with the other punched edges.

I hope you'll find some time to give this sketch a try and link us up by clicking on the current sketch on the sidebar!

Thanks for stopping by :)

that thinks my kids are cuter then anyone elses! HA!

Many times I have my layouts, particularly pages that are mostly die cuts, designed out before creating. This time I kinda of played as I went along.  Everything was finished and then at the end, added a few stickers here and there.

Springtime Flowers

Hello!! I'm Vivian and today I would like to share with you my version of our die cut challenge this week: "in the garden".

I really went all out. This entire project is die cuts! The wagon, the title, and the flowers are all die cuts and homemade.

I got the idea from SVGCuts design team projects. Those ladies are seriously talented and come up with wonderfully amazing things. If you want to learn how to make the wagon just click on the link.

I even special ordered "wood grain" pattern paper for this project. I really wanted that authentic, wooden feel to the wagon. This "garden" piece is now part of my growing collection of paper projects that decorate my home thru out the year.

I love how the flowers turned out. Yep, made them all but one!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies can be found on my blog.

Best Wishes - In the Garden with SOUS...

Katy here with my take on the In the Garden Die-Cut Challenge for this week!

You can use ANY DIE-CUT as long as your entire project theme keeps true to the Challenge.

I am sharing a couple of cards that I've had for quite some time...not only to the flowers remind me of a pretty garden but also the colors!

The flower and leaves are from Miss Kate Cuttables and the card front on the left is made by splicing a square from the card base using Cricut Design Space.

Thanks for stopping by!

In the Garden

Hi There,
Tracey here to show you a card that I have created for
'In the Garden" die cut challenge. I'm really loving the overlays from the 'Artfully Sent' cricut cartridge.....this butterfly is really pretty! I have used Stampin up water colour crayons to scribble  the background. I lightly sprayed it with  water then used a paint brush to blend. I layered a few of the cut out butterflies, adding a pretty doily and a button. A few drops of ink a sprinkle of sequins.......thats it! A really simple card!

In The Garden Die Cut Challenge

Hi and welcome to Stuck On U Sketches. This is Julie from Cards By Cricut with a new die cut challenge this week. It is called In The Garden. Which seems to be perfect today as it is now officially Spring. The weather we have been has proven that Spring has definitely arrived. Flowers are starting to bloom and bugs are starting to come out. I created this really cute card featuring a caterpillar on a flower to represent the coming of Spring. I used a Cricut cartridge for the caterpillar. I put a little sparkle on the caterpillar too. Find all the other info on how I put this cute card together on my blog Cards By Cricut.
Thanks so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to come by SOUS and look at our projects. Remember to try the challenge for yourself and post it on the blog here. Thanks again and have a great weekend! :)

March 20 Die Cut Challenge, In The Garden

My goodness people! We have hit Spring!
Can you believe it!
Well, maybe not for those with snow on the ground still.
But we have been feeling the season change
here in California, that's for sure!
Well to start off the warmer days vibe
let me share with you our newest
Die Cut Challenge

In The Garden

If you didn't catch it before. We have changed our Die Cut Challenge rules
and ALL projects will count...as long as there is "some" die cutting
on your project. For example, this challenge...you have a stamped image
of a garden but use a die cut fence. Then you are good!
Please let us know what die cut you've used so we know
what we are checking out! Thanks!
Now onto my layout!

Finally scrapped an occasion from last year when my younger
sister was getting married. This was the most lovely bridal shower
I had ever attended. My other sister hosted it in her darling backyard
and had it decorated so so cute! Here's the then bride to be
and my daughter Jordan, the other picture is my niece. Cute auntie
and nieces picture for sure!

I layered so many goodies on this page. Including lots of die cut and matching
stamps from Papertrey Ink. Took forever but this page was worth it!

Thanks for visiting today, Leah

Good Times-March 13 Sketch

Hi SOUS friends! It's Stephanie here today from Bits & Pieces (& Scraps) to share with you all my layout using the March 13 sketch. This fun sketch was created by our fabulous Leah!

Here is what I created:

I used the same placement for my photo & papers as the sketch. Everything shifted to the right side of the page & I love the look! I started with a spattering of gold mist on the white cardstock.

I grabbed my Notes & Things  6x6 paper pad from Crate Paper & layered a few pieces under my photo. I decided to place a heart shaped doily under my picture to replicate the heart from the sketch.

The camera is also from Crate Paper, the Close Knit collection, as is the dimensional heart.

The feathers are from Studio Calico and the "love this" arrow is also from Crate Paper.

We hope you find the time to play along with this fun sketch! Link up here if  you do. We love seeing your creations!
Thanks for stopping by today!!
