Carry Me Away

Hey SOUS friends! It's Stephanie here from Bits & Pieces (& Scraps) to share my latest layout using the February 27 sketch from the wonderful Nanne!

I used photos of my kids on the carousel at a local amusement park from almost four years ago! Yes they are old, but I never scrapped them & I was looking for some pictures that were NOT winter themed!!! I am so ready for Spring to get here!

I went with the overall design & placement of the sketch, but I substituted a doily for the larger circle in the sketch.

All of my papers are from Bella Blvd. The "Carry Me Away" tag & the wooden ticket are from My Mind's Eye. The "Love Ya" flair is from Heidi Swapp. The lovely fringe trim below my pictures is from Studio Calico.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you get a chance to play along with this fun sketch!! If you do, please link up so that we can see your creations!
Have a wonderful Thursday!!
Hugs xo

Sweet Boy-Feb 13 Sketch

Hi SOUS friends! Happy Thursday. It's Stephanie here today to share my layout using the current sketch by the fabulous Nanne!
While we just celebrated Valentine's Day, I didn't use a Valentine photo, but rather one of my son (from a few years ago) when he was dressed up in his big sister's accessories!! He is a hoot!

I used the Kiss Me collection from Bella Blvd. here. Although it is a layout about my son, I felt this line was appropriate because he was dressing up as a girl!!

I hand cut a medium sized heart from a piece of patterned paper & placed it behind my photo to follow the sketch. I added some flair buttons that go perfectly with the picture.

I adored all the paper strips in the sketch as I love mixing & matching patterns & this sketch allowed me to do just that!

We hope you get the chance to play along. If you do, remember to link up & share your creation with us. We love seeing what you do with the sketches!!
Thanks for visiting today!

Hot Stuff

Hey y'all! It's Stephanie from Bits & Pieces (& Scraps) here today to share with you all my layout using the fabulous January 30 sketch. This amazing sketch was created by Leah Schaeffer & is perfect for this time of year! I didn't use Valentine pictures, only because I didn't have any printed & was being lazy, so I grabbed one that I had near my desk!

I used the Hey Kid collection from Pink Paislee for this page. I didn't follow the sketch completely, but went with the placement of my photo, embellishments and title. Instead of using a ribbon across the middle, I went with the scalloped border sticker (in black). I also fussy cut the red scalloped border from a piece of patterned paper.

The diamonds that I have popped up from my page are also fussy cut from a sheet of paper. Love them! This collection is so fun to create with, especially pages about kids!!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have found this inspirational & are ready to create with this sketch! Please link up if  you do. We love seeing your creations!!

Happy Santa

Hey y'all! It's Stephanie here today from Bits & Pieces (& Scraps) and I am sharing my layout using the January 16 sketch. This amazingly fun sketch by Leah was so great to work with!! I loved the Snow Village collection from Pink Paislee the moment I laid eyes on it! And I fortunately had some left over to create with!!

I cut a rectangle out of the polka dot paper then laid the script paper horizontally over it. The trees on the right were cut from a piece of patterned paper from pink Paislee.

Everything is from Pink Paislee with the exception of the cork word; the sequins; the pennant tag & the "Santa" tab. I used my Fiskars punch to create the glittery snowflakes.
Yes, this photo is from 2006, but I just found it the other day while cleaning out a drawer! So glad I did too. I love looking back at the kids when they were little bitties!
I hope you all find the time to create with this awesome sketch. Link up with us in the sidebar if you do!

Thanks for visiting!

JAN 2 Sketch-Winter Wonderland

Hey y'all! Happy 2015!
It's Stephanie  here to share my layout using the first sketch of the New Year! It's a fabulous one  too, created by Leah:

And here is my layout:
I loved this line from Teresa Collin's, Santa's List. I wanted to keep the focus on this fun patterned paper, but took the circle elements & snowflakes from the sketch. I also used the picture & title placement as well.
I pulled out my Martha Stewart Arctic snowflake punch and my Marvy large snowflake punch to create more snowflakes in my page.

All the stickers here are from Teresa Collins.

The gold doily came from Studio Calico. I love the shimmer it lends to my layout!
This is a pretty straight forward, simple page but I wanted the photos to play star here. They are of my son & nephew being pulled in a sled  through the snow one winter's day.
We hope you get the chance to play along with this fun sketch. We love seeing your creations! Be sure to  link up with the current sketch in the sidebar to the right.
Have a wonderful day, y'all!!

Joyeux Noel

Hey y'all & a very Merry Christmas day to all who celebrate this miraculous holiday! It's Stephanie popping in quickly today to share my layout using the last SOUS sketch of this year!! Here is a reminder of the wonderful sketch by Nanne:
And here is my layout:

I started with the fabulous patterned paper from Elle's Studio. It was premade with the different layers & patterns so I simply added to it!
The sticker snowflake &  the ornaments here are from Basic Grey. I pulled them from my stash & can't even remember how old they are! I love when I finally use older products that I have been hoarding.

The "Joyeux Noel" pennant is from Imaginisce. I have used products from several different manufacturers on this layout. It's so great when I can make that happen! The stare are a mix of Pink Paislee, Martha Stewart  & some punched with my favorite star punch.

The glitter alphas are from AC Thickers. The "December" tag is from Teresa Collins.

I adore this picture from Christmastime 2009 when Ty was just a baby!!
Hopefuly y'all will get a chance to play along with this fun sketch! If you do, make sure to link up here   so we can see your creations!!
Hope the day is fabulous  & filled with wonderful moments!
Peace & love,
~Stephanie

Christmas Magic-December 5 Sketch

Hey y'all! Stephanie here today to share my layout using the December 5 sketch. Here is a reminder of the wonderful sketch created by Nanne!

What a great design! And here is my layout

I started with the "Deck the Halls" paper from Elle's Studio and added patterned paper layers, all of which are from Carta Bella. I distressed the edges of all my papers here.
I used die cut & vellum flowers and stars from Pink Paislee.
My doilies are from Martha Stewart. The date sticker & snowflake stickers that adorn some of the stars are from Echo Park. I love mixing & matching different manufacturers on a single project!
My die cut title is from Teresa Collins.
These photo were taken at a local hotel that goes all out on their Christmas decorations! We visit every year & take pictures. And yes, these are from 2009!!

We hope you find the time to play along! We love to see your creations. You have until December 18 to link up your layout.

Thanks for stopping by! Make it a crafty weekend!!
