Hot Stuff

Hey y'all! It's Stephanie from Bits & Pieces (& Scraps) here today to share with you all my layout using the fabulous January 30 sketch. This amazing sketch was created by Leah Schaeffer & is perfect for this time of year! I didn't use Valentine pictures, only because I didn't have any printed & was being lazy, so I grabbed one that I had near my desk!

I used the Hey Kid collection from Pink Paislee for this page. I didn't follow the sketch completely, but went with the placement of my photo, embellishments and title. Instead of using a ribbon across the middle, I went with the scalloped border sticker (in black). I also fussy cut the red scalloped border from a piece of patterned paper.

The diamonds that I have popped up from my page are also fussy cut from a sheet of paper. Love them! This collection is so fun to create with, especially pages about kids!!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have found this inspirational & are ready to create with this sketch! Please link up if  you do. We love seeing your creations!!

All My Love

Good Morning! It's Charlotte here with you today to share a layout done with the January 30th sketch. I love when  sketch works out so perfectly for a photo that you have in mind! :)  I'm back to working on those wedding albums and here's another installment! I can't tell you that I'll be sorry when this huge project is over!  Good news is...two albums down and only one more to go. Well, those  AND the Project Life style album that I'm also doing on the wedding. LOL! Crazy, I know!

I used a couple of Silhouette cuts in my layout. Very handy tool when you need a "right now" embellishment. I find my machine going into overdrive during this project!

We sure would love to see your creations based on this sketch. Just find the current sketch over on the side bar and link up your layout!  Until next time....

This is my week

Hello, friends, this is Eli from Scrap-colors. It's my day to show you a new page with the beautiful sketch by Leah, you can find HERE.

It's a layout about myself. Something like a B.O.M. page, remembering what are my activities, hobbies, likes, in 2013.

Some details:
wood embellishments, dots,

a badge,

a stamp and the journaling written by my old typewriter

Treasure Family - Jan 30th Sketch

Hi folks.

Good to see you here at Stuck On U Sketches.

Jane here with my take on
 Leah's newest sketch
(which you will find on the right side bar).

Using a treasured family photo from 1934.

I have used the gorgeous
 "English Rose"
papers from
 KaiserCraft.

Beautiful flowers from
 Prima "Parisa Winston Mix"
and a couple of roses from stash.

The green fronds are a die from
 Tattered Lace "Flourish Swirls".

I bought the lace and trim when I
was in New York last September
from a store all you American girls
will be familiar with
 - M & J Trimmings on Sixth Avenue.

We just don't have an equivalent here in
the UK (unless you've found one Carole?).

I have bought some of the beautiful laces
from Tresors de Luxe in the past.
But after paying for the products,
and the postage, I was then
slugged for import tax when it came
 into the UK!

So I really stocked up when I was in New York.
Good job lace isn't heavy on the
 baggage allowance!

The cameo, doily, hat pin and seam binding
are from an Australian company called
Tattered Inspirations "Springtime Love Mini Kit".
Little kits of gorgeous elements ready to
add to your projects - perfect!

Thank you again for joining me today.

I hope I have given you a little inspiration,
and that you will have time to join our
 sketch challenge.
We love to see your interpretations
 of the sketch.

Remember to join us daily for more
 inspiration from my
SOUS Sisters.

Hugs for now

Snapshots

Hello, Rosie here to share with you my layout based on the newest sketch :).
The patterns in the sketch were my starting point for this layout.

{All supplies: Daily Stories-Teresa Collins; ribbon from box of cupcakes}

The best way to mix patterns is to choose varying sizes, a large, medium and small print. The polka dot print paper is the large print and while the other 2 patterns are similar in the size, the larger white space on the striped paper reads as a bigger pattern than the gold/tan paper.
I've trimmed 3 photos and matted them together in place of the large photo on the sketch. This is a great way to adapt a one photo sketch for use with multiple photos.

I cut a strip of ribbon and adhered it with my tape gun to the layout. The bow was made using a tool called "The Bow Easy" and then attached to the layout with glue dots.

This layout came together very quickly so I hope you will take on this sketch and share your layouts with us here.

Thanks for stopping by!
