June 14 Die Cut post challenge and DT introductions!

Happy Friday, Die Cut Lovers! We have another great challenge for you today! Here it is already mid-June .... now, how the heck did that happen? Seems like the year is just swooshing by! So, in honor of Summer (or everything outdoors for those of you in the Southern Hemisphere and craving some sunshine), the Die Cut Challenge this time is: 

Your project must be new ... and a Die tool or Die Cut machine must be used!! No stickers and no stamped images unless that are subsequently Die Cut. 

Before we go any further with our Reveal, we'd like to introduce you to some new Die Cut Team members! Here they are:

Hi, I’m Sheila!   I am so happy to be a part of the Stuck on U Sketches die cut team!  I am a wife, and a stay at home mom to two beautiful girls and one insane cat.   Most afternoons, I can be found in my sunny scrap room, working on a project.   My style changes often…I like to follow trends and try new techniques!  I love haunting thrift stores and garage sales for my next project.  Besides scrapbook supplies, Ihoard  collect glass bottle stoppers and miniature tin can chairs.  You can find more of my work at:  http://parttimepretties.blogspot.com/

Hi, my name is Kim Hill. I have been crafting and upcycling (it’s “altered art” now, I think) for as long as I can remember. My love for paper crafting began with scrapbooking in high school during the 1980s. Since then, I’ve added card making, home décor projects (think paper wreaths, frames, etc), and book binding to the mix. Stuck on U Sketches is my third opportunity to participate on a design team. I love inspiring others and being inspired by others to create beautiful things. When not in my craft studio, I can be found hanging out with my wonderful family or working on my PhD dissertation.

My name is Brenda Lawrence,  I am 53 years old and I'm mom to 6 boys/men and grandma to 6.  I love crafting, reading, being with family, camping and outdoor activities as my health allows.  I love my husband who is my soul mate and our life on the farm. I'm a country bumpkin through and through!  I don't often leave the farm because this is the best place to be!  I have so many blessings and I thank God everyday for them and now I have one more to be added to my blessing list and that is being on the SOUS design team! What an honor for me!!!! I look forward to many challenges with these talented ladies!!

June 7th Sketch Challenge and new DT members!

Yay! It's Friday and oh my gosh, we LOVE our Fridays! First of all, it marks the beginning of the weekend for most of us and it is also Reveal day! And this is a big one with lots of news! 

This week we are back to Sketches. We've had lots of requests for multi-pic layouts, so we are still trying to accommodate your wishes.  This is a fun little sketch that you will enjoy designed by one of our co-leaders, Sandi Clarkson! Hope you like it! It might look a little intimidating at first but trust me, once you get started, you can't stop! 

But before we get ahead of ourselves, we'd like to take a moment to introduce you to the new members of our sketch team and let them tell you a bit about themselves! 

"Hi I am Kim Kendell and have been scrapping now for over 16 years. I have a love of paper and what can be done with it .You will find I also love mists and paints and lots of layers and flowers. I am a Mum to one beautiful daughter Malina and partner to Don and aunt to many who are all part of of scrapping. I have designed for many companies and business over the years and currently design for 5 teams with this being my 6th. I look forward to hopefully inspiring you with my creations.."

"My name is Elisabetta Colavero (Eli) and I'm italian: I love sun, pizza and ice cream!  Born on the 3rd of March, 1973, I have a daughter Noemi, 9 years old, who is the favorite subject of my projects.  We live in a nice cottege in a little city with 2 old cats. I'm graduated in Agriculture, and I work for the Province of Cremona, Agricultural department. But I'm very lucky! I can work at home, so I have time to devote to my hobbies: reading, sporting, gardening, and of course, scrapbooking. I started about 7 years ago, and I prefer the layouts and sometimes minialbums. The cards, instead, simply hate me!  I have a not defined style, because I like changes and I try always new techniques. Scrapbooking for me it's like a drug... It allows me to express the artistic side of me and, at the same time, to create something that preserves forever my fondest memories. My slogan is: "Do not throw anything" , both in scrapbooking that in cooking. Yes, I'm a good cook too!"

Our First Project Life Challenge! ~ Add a Button ~

Happy Monday, everyone! Bet you weren't expecting to see a post from Stuck on U today, were you?
Well, we are just full of surprises this Summer! Yes, we are now into the month of June and here in the Northern Hemisphere, it's now Summer. Hard to imagine, right?

Anyway, we have a Brand New Challenge for you today that we are super excited about! Something that we think will appeal to many of you who have busy lives but are trying to keep up with your photos and the happenings in your homes. So, welcome to Project Life!

 While there are no hard, fast rules to this challenge (yet,) we are asking to see Projects that are:
* new as of today
* follow a Project Life format of some kind
* and for this time only, you must

ADD a BUTTON!

As you see what the Design Team has created, you will get a better idea what's expected for this one. Some people do it by the week, some by the month, while others are more random. They can be digital or traditional. Whatever works for you is fine by us!

But ... before we get to the projects, we want to make a full introduction to some of the new ladies on our team.  Here goes:

I am mom to 4 and love spending time with my family.

This is my first year working on a Project Life album and am very excited

to share my pages with you. 

My name is Leah Cameron and I live in a {very} small country town in Victoria, Australia. I have one husband and two daughters and work two days per week. I have been scrapbooking for seven years and this is my fourth year doing Project Life. I love the freedom Project Life has given me in my traditional scrapping, and there is nothing better than seeing my family flick back through previous years’ albums remembering the different things we did.

This is me. Cathy Caines. Mother. Wife. Newfoundlander. And my life is chaos... I bet you were stumped at Newfoundlander - its a stunning island on the most Eastern point of Canada.  Come visit.. we have icebergs! I am an accountant by day and at night I have many hats, which keeps my life unpredictable. I started scrapbooking when my daughter was born three years ago and now that I am blessed with two children, I couldn't let life fly by without preserving the moments.  I call myself an 'emotional' scrapbooker as I love to scrapbook the little things that make me smile.  So, project life is a perfect fit for me!! 

My name is Darcy and I have been scrapping since my oldest daughter was one year old. I live in a small northern Ontario (Canada) community with my husband of 10 yrs, our three girls (3, 5,and 8) and our boxer.bullmastiff Jake. I was so happy to be offered this team as I only have books for my girls. This Project Life is going to be an incredibly selfish journey for me and I am very excited to explore it!
