Autumn Mini Album Swap-UPDATED

UPDATE:
Linky Tools is up and running..
Those of you that have received your minis can start linking them to the post.. Can't wait to see what everyone has made..

Good morning ladies..
Us girls at SOUS have been putting our heads together trying to find ways
of inspiring you, to get you to think outside the box and to challenge you to try new things..
So we thought to have a SWAP..
Sounds like fun right?
Oh, were excited about this one and hope you are too..

Our first SWAP would be an
Autumn themed mini album..

don't get scared just yet..LOL
Its more simple than it sounds..

You will be randomly paired off to another SWAP participant and once your minis are done, you will send them to each other and please include a little thank you gift in your box.

If you would like to participate in the swap, leave a comment and then contact Nanné by clicking HERE
or emailing her at : breadesi9er@hotmail.com
(leave your email information and your first name so we can forward your information to your swap buddy)
No home address or phone numbers please, you can keep that between you and your buddy...
and you can email Nanné or leave a comment at anytime during the swap with questions,etc...

We think that everyone that wants to participate should sign up before our next sketch challenge is posted (August 20th).
We will then randomly draw names to pair you up and email you your swap buddies email information..
We want the mini album to be a surprise, so no peeking or giving out hints..LOL
Lets keep it fun!!

The requirements would be:

1. Size:
No smaller and no bigger than a 6x6 (cause then it wouldn't be a mini) and
covered with designer printed cardstock/paper.
2.. Has to have 6 pages which includes a decorated front cover and  back cover.
3.Add a minimum of four tags and pockets to your book.
*tags are always so much fun
4.. Autumn colors and embellishments.

5. You can add bling, charms, ribbons, fibers, lace, flowers, brads, embossing,
stamping, rub-ons.
Here is your time to get creative..

6. Add photo mats and journaling spots on the pages.
*The amount is up to you, but remember it is a photo album after all..
and most importantly
 Make with your heart.
*Take pride in your work ladies

Now we know that these mini's might take some time to get finished,
so we are giving you till the end of October and hopefully have it shipped to your swap buddy by the beginning of November.
If this is a success, we will be announcing a new SWAP at the end of October.

Once you have received your new mini, we want you to take a photo of it, post it on your blog and then link it back to us using McKlinky on the SWAP post.  You will find a link to the post on our sidebar.

*Sign up only if you are serious about joining the swap, we don't tolerate any flakers, but if for any reason you can not finish your mini, please let us know early so that we  don't have any disappointed participants.

So, lets have some fun ladies and get creating..

p.s. McKlinky will start accepting posts on October 15tht..so, Please take a photo of the mini you received and post on McKlinky..

Here is her take on this weeks sketch:

and we have a little "get to know her" for you:

Hi Everybody
My name is Jane Stirling – aka Scossie Jane.
My husband, Andy, and I have lived in Perth, Western Australia for ten years now, though we hail from Scotland – thus the Scossie bit, Scottish/Australian.....

I have two adult children, daughter and son – and three totally adorable granddaughters, Rebekah, Erin and Emma. Rebekah and Emma are my daughter’s children and Erin is son’s daughter.
Daughter and family live in Australia, son is in Scotland. They are the main subjects of my scrapping adventures.....

I discovered scrapbooking in 2004 and it is now part of my daily life.....

I have taken part in the SOUS challenges since they began with their very
first sketch in October last year. I was looking for some
direction in my scrapping and when I came
across their brand new site, I thought I would give it a go.....

I have been following them ever since,
and have only missed three of the
40 sketches they have posted to this date.....

And, here I am as a guest designer for that 40th Sketch.....

I am excited to appear on the Stuck On U Sketches Blog
as Guest Designer and thank Nanne, Sandi and Leah for the honour.....

This is my take on Sketch #40...
Looking forward to seeing you there.....Hugs xx

September 17 Reveal ... with all 9 of our designers! Woohoo!

Well, the BIG day has finally arrived and we have a host of designers presenting their work this time. This is so exciting for myself, Nanne and Leah to see our site grow!

As fate would have it, we had already chosen this double page sketch in anticipation of scrappers having some Labor Day or summer holiday photos to get scrapped! The sketch is an older one from Sketchy Thursdays. Anyway, we have begun with a bit of a challenge for some of these ladies who are doing single pages most of the time. Sometimes the challenge is that you don't have a group of photos printed out already. However, now that we have gone to every other week, this will give you more time to get yours done and linked to us.

So, here we go, scrappers! Hopefully you will be inspired!

Want to meet the rest of our new team?

We are so excited to help you get acquainted with the rest of our newest design team memebers!

Many of you already know Lisa McIntyre. On the MB and in the bloging world she is known as Bug Junkie. She loves using her Cricut and sharing her creations with others!

How long have you been crafting?

I have been crafting for a good 15 years

What inspires me to craft?

I think I love the challenge. To take a flat image and try to bring in to life, give it dimension and make it pop. For me, it's all about the little details.

What are your top 3 favorite craft items?

Cricut
Cuttlebug
ATG

What is your favorite season/holiday?

My favorite season is fall because of the weather, the smells of fall and the home cooking of which I do not need. ;)

Tell us something about you that we might not know.

If I'm going to get serious and craft I do better crafting alone. Otherwise, I get distracted and talk too much. I get a whole lot of nothing accomplished. Guess I can't talk and craft at the same time, lol.

What state do you live in?

I live in Kansas

Next we have annother international design team member, Stine Ursin.  One thing I love about paper crafting is that we get to meet woman around the globe sharing the same passion for photos and paper that we have.  Here is what Stine had to say:

How long have you been crafting?

I have been crafting a little over three years - scrapbooking and card making/stamping.

What inspires you to craft?

For my layouts it is my two children, but beautiful papers also inspire me very much - especially when it comes to cardmaking.

What are your favorite top 3 craft items?

Distress inks, Pearls/rhinestones (Kaiser craft in particular) and patterned papers from the swedish Maja design or the norwegian Papirdesign

What is your favorite season/holiday?

Definitly christmas!

Tell us something about you that most of us would not know!

I am actually a band geek - and play in the local brass band. I have played the cornet/trumpet for 24 years now, and still enjoy it very much.

What state do you live in?

I live above the arctic circle in northen Norway.

And lastly, but not least, we have the talented Debbie Burns!   Debbie has joined a number of design teams this year and we are so glad that she chose to join us as well.

How long have you been crafting?

I've been a crafter for as long as I can remember. I use to sew, cross stitch and paint.
I was introduced to scrapbooking 12 years ago. I received an album "all about me" as a
birthday gift. I took a beginners Creative Memories class and rest is history.

What inspires you to craft?

I draw my inspiration from everything that surrounds me in my life.
My family, friends, the outdoors and life in general.

What are your top 3 favorite craft items?

My ink pads, pattern paper and distressing tools.

What is your favorite season/holiday?

Living in Maryland, I am fortunate to see all of the seasons, and I guess I would
say that Fall is my favorite. I love the beauty in the trees as the leaves turn color.
My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love to decorate. I've scaled back quite a lot,
but years ago friends and family would refer to my home as the Christmas store
because of all my decorations.

Tell us something about you that most of us would not know.

I'm really quite shy in person.

What state do you live in?

I'm a Maryland girl! I've lived here my whole life.

So, there you have it! That is the last group of talented ladies who will be part of Stuck on U Sketches for the next 6 months.  Welcome, everyone!  Readers,  please visit us this coming Friday, September 17th to see the new challenge ... and see what our group of designers have done! Should be lots of inspiration!
