Inaugural Card Challenge

Wow! I think it is safe to say that we are super excited to share our first ever Card sketch challenge here at Stuck on U Sketches. We hope that you will enjoy this new challenge and play along as often as you can. New Card sketches will be posted on the first and third Wednesday of every month .. along with the Design Team reveal. You will have 2 weeks to upload your project (using our sketch) using the Inlinz tool for a chance at earning the Top 3 badge. 

Along the way, we will be having some Guest Designers as well as Guest sketch designers. We hope that you will give us your feedback on what you'd like to see as far as the Card challenges are concerned. Please tell your blog friends about us! 

Our first sketch was done by co-leader Sandi Clarkson and really is so versatile. You can make your card any size or style. You just need to follow the sketch to play along. Please link only projects that are new as of July 18th.

SOUS Card Design Team intro .. are we excited or what??

It is with great excitement that Leah, Nanne and I announce our new Card Team designers to you our faithful followers!  "Excited" is an understatement for me personally because this has been my baby so to speak .. with Leah and Nanne's help of course!  And a big shout out to Leah for helping with the initial sketches! Muwah!


 We received so many wonderful applications, and again we thank you so much! Hopefully, you can play along with us on our challenges  and try out on the next Design Team call!

"Hello everyone! My name is Erica, also known as mimi402.  I live in El Paso Texas and happily married to a wonderful man named Bob.  My husband and I have no children but do have one rather large fur-baby lab mix named Cozmo. I work full time as a federal employee and in my spare time you can usually find me in my scraproom, relieving the stresses of every day life.  I started paper crafting in 2010 and like many others, have become totally addicted to this hobby. I love the art of creating and preserving memories.  As much as I enjoy creating layouts...I also love creating cards, playing with canvases, and working on shadow boxes that I give to my family and friends as gifts. I am so thrilled to be a part of the Card Design Team at Stuck on U Sketches and to be given the opportunity to share my creations!  I hope to inspire others and to get inspired by all of you."

"Hello, my name is Nancie Quah (http://punchcreations.blogspot.com/). I was born at " The Pearl of the Orient" Penang and currently staying in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I started with punched craft in 2006 with my daughter, then I ventured into rubber stamps, altered projects and scrapbooking and was hooked since then. Besides crafting, I love to travel (especially seaside), cook and spend time with my family and friends.

"Hi, I'm Vivian Rose Lake!  I'm 35 years old and have been scrapbooking for fourteen years. I live and work in Southern Indiana. I consider myself a "jack of many trades".  I am a registered veterinary technologist, but my main job is in management.  I have been married for nearly eleven years and have one son.  I also have 3 rescue animals, two dogs and a cat.   This is my first design team and am thrilled to be here. These days, most of my cards seem to have some sort of critter on them. I tend to gravitate towards making "cute" cards more than sentimental or "pretty" cards.  It is a personal challenge for me to make masculine/boy cards, or a card that could be used either way.  But, I do love to make flowers too but for some strange reason find making feminine cards even more difficult.  Within the last couple years, I have learned that I truly love making my own die cuts and flowers so most of my cards and layouts have mostly my own handmade embellishments on them.  Thank you, SOUS, for giving me the opportunity to challenge myself and showcase my work on your site."

Our Card Challenges debut next Wednesday and will post on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. As with our other challenges, you will have 2 weeks to upload your projects with the Inlinz tool for a chance at Top 3!

Melisa Alzammar

My name is Melisa and I'm a stay at home mom to 3 very active boys, Matthew 6, Nicholas & Joseph are twins who will be 3 years old in August.  My hubby & I have been married since 2005.  I started scrapbooking in 1998 and have been addicted ever since.  My family and I love going camping.  A couple of our favorite places to go camping is Glamis and Pismo Beach.  In the summer time we love going to Lake Havasu and hanging out on our boat all day.  Some of my other hobbies include photography and baking.  I look forward to joining the SOUS Die Cut Team. 

 Misty Littlejohn

Hi my name is Misty.  I have been papercrafting for almost 9 year now.  I started scrapbooking just after I married my wonderful husband.  We have 3 kids.  I live in Albuquerque, NM but am originally from Texas.
I have been on several design teams in the past and love the challenges they provide.  I am so excited to be a part of this team as I have watched the blog for a really long time.  I love seeing their posts on the blog as well as over on the cricut.com messageboard.  The girls are so talented and creative.  I am honored to join them. 

I have taught as a part of the Provo Craft Army going as far as Spokane to train at a local JoAnns store.  I also teach every once in a while at a local scrapbook store.  I have done classes for retreats.  

My love for paper piecings started a few years back and it has grown so much.  I love bright bold colors with fun paper lines.  My layouts tend to revolve around my family.  

We are always on the go with a kiddo who pay tennis and guitar, a kiddo who plays club soccer and is moving into club swim, and a kiddo who loves ballet, cheer, and soccer.  

Thanks again to the SOUS DT for this fun opportunity and thank you to the loyal fans for allowing my to share.

Kimi Watson

My name is Kim Watson better known to most as Kimi. I am from Columbus Georgia and  I am lucky to be married to a man who although may not always get excited with me when CHA rolls around and all the new designs are released, he certainly supports my love of  this craft.   My family is and has always been my inspiration in everything I do.  They are my reason for being.  I feel blessed to have been given my loving husband Bryan and an amazing step son Cody.  Make no mistake; once you get to know me you will soon believe that he is my own and I would not have it any other way.  

I started scrapbooking when Cody was around 5 and this past May he graduated High School. They grow up so fast. ** sigh** Fortunately, for me and you, there are memories to be documented  

Being in a home where all things are about the boys (baseball, hunting, baseball, Football and did I say baseball ?)  I tend to get my girly on in my craft room.  I love my Cricut and have collected quite the collection of cartridges.  One of my most favorite things is adding  details to die cuts and the opportunities I have  to add a little bling, a bit of ribbon, bows and even few  flowers to a muddy mess of baseball photos, I do 

I am honored to have been chosen to be a part of this amazing team! And hope I can offer inspiration for the moms out there who are always seeking ideas on creating for the men in their lives. Be sure to lock in SOUS to your favorites bar and join the blog because in the coming months you will see some exciting designs.
